@FFfeiter Also he had his siren and air horns going. The cars could clearly hear him coming.

It's called "Right of Way" every emergency vehicle with its emergency lights on has the right of way at intersections no matter what, they also have these transmitters that change every light red except the side the are approaching (they are called Opticom Emitters)

@gibbymcgibson If the engine would have hit someone it would have the other vehicle's fault because the engine had a green light.

@gibbymcgibson The engine had a green light.

@parkinglotpedro wrong, they don't. if that engine were to have hit someone going through that red light, the department and its personal driving would be help responsible.
-
@FFfeiter Don't listen to what these people say, your right, they did endanger themselves and others. They should have technically come to a compete stop before preceding through the intersection.

@MesaCountyFireRescue I disagree with you, numerous emergency personal are injured and killed evert year in accidents where they have the "right of way", and those sirens that -clear traffic to the side- don't clear traffic to the side. At a red light, all emergency vehicles are to come to a complete stop, at least thats what I've always been taught, because if they were to get hit/ hit someone, they are the ones at fault because they didn't not have the green light thus having the right of way,
You people that think the firetruck has to stop you are full of shit cause the always have the right away
