Back when they were still R&D1 hadn't they been the people who'd worked on early NES, as in Famicom games, before Miyamoto and Tezuka in R&D took over thanks to Mario and Zelda? That means that Intelligent Systems are the people who made the Game Boy handheld Super Mario games, the Land series, that became Wario Land.
And don't forget Wario Ware (that will be a great spoof of Olde Games when we're playing virtual reality holograms!) and the GBA Mario Kart Super Circuit.
The first game by Intelligent Systems, who later became better known for creating the Fire Emblem series, the Nintendo Wars series, the Panel de Pon series, Alleyway, the Paper Mario series, the Card Hero series and some Super Scope games.
Interesting that they're calling the game in question 'soccer". I thought it was "soccer" in the USA but "football' everywhere else.
