at 6:29 the guy in the glasses was me in the 70's getting all riled up. one night I was heckling The Golden Greek John Tolos so much he came over and I thot he was going to hit me, I was about 18 at the time. Next day I see him, his wife and daughter at a store where I was working and he saw me but just kept walking. The video really brings back memories of days gone by.

@volleyballboylex Back then, I think every promoter had a Ringside Rosie. There certainly was one here in Charlotte. I've read where some promoters would even let their designated Rosie come and sit in the front row for free. Why not? Having an enthusiastic granny with whom a "heel" can clash is priceless "cheap heat."

@kid66625 For one: In the days of the territories until the early 90s, a wrestler migrated like a nomad among the promotions. Often, a wrestler would even maintain feuds in several territories contemporaneously, which made for insane travel schedules. Secondly: the Iron Sheik appeared for years in NWA and AWA territories before ever appearing in the WWF.

@phildirt3 yes matt legit just did a shoot interview with him last year it is on youtube and very informative...the thing is roddy, buddy rose, jesse ventura, rick martell matt borne buck zumhoffe the guys coming up as dutch was going out and promoting they hate him to this day... those guys I just mentioned lead a rebellion in 80 against him and forced don owens hand...
