Infocus LP530 modified to use 75w Xenon bulb/Ballast i
and 12V ATX PC Power Supply. The image displayed is about 80 inches.
The room is not completely dark, so better picture quality will be in total darkness. I used not the best photo camera to record the video, so in real life the video is of course much sharper, as it usually is with Infocus LP530.
I am using also a glass beaded projection screen.
It is a nice mod if you want to have a backup projector or use a cheap xenon bulb as replacement. Enough to watch movies or TV in a darkened room.
It is now on sale on ebay.

  • yes, compared to the original bulb it is. you can cheat a bit with putting the brightness level up to the level that you feel contrast more less still to be comfortable to the eye.its ok as a backup and should be used with a reflective screen definitely in totally dark room
