I loved Oasis for a long time.. It was time they split though.. Musically they seemed to be getting lost.. Noel's solo project is great.. Beady Eye, not so much .. And ELO rule! Sorry Noel, you missed that one...

ELO and Jeff Lynn were the pioneers in their time. Anyone who thinks little of what others have worked hard to accomplish is not worth to be remembered for long - which is exactly what the Oasis is degrading into.

@mrmarillionelo It isn't so much the SONGS that ensured the Beatles' place in musical history. The Beatles pioneered a lot of technical and artistic motifs that became the norm afterward. Sure, most would have emerged anyway, but the Beatles cranked out so many in such a short period that they are rightly called geniuses...assuming you include all the MANY folks who worked with them as "Beatles". Later groups wanted to sound like the Beatles because what they were doing was the future.
