I know that this weekend, I've done things a little differently clip-wise, and there hasn't been anything in the way of Cass and Frankie yet. When last we left the best team in the league goin' all the way, Frankie had headed off to Peru to meditate on a mountaintop and decide whether or not to reunite with Cass, while Cass remained in Bay City and vowed to be completely faithful to Frankie while she was gone. That left us in approximately February 1992, right after Valentine's Day.

So please bear with me, as I get through the scenes of Cass while Frankie is in Peru, some of which will be posted here (one of which already is). And by 11 PM Central time on Sunday, October 21, I promise that the long-awaited, much-anticipated reunion of Cass and Frankie will be posted and available for viewing right here.

In the meantime, let's go back to where it all began: Cass and Frankie's first meeting, in April 1989, at the courthouse, at the end of the first day (the opening arguments) in Felicia's trial for the murder of Frankie's uncle Jason Frame (of course, Felicia didn't do it). As you'll see, it was hardly love at first sight for Mary Frances and Counselor Winthrop, but happily for them, and for us, love came in due time.

And so here's Cass and Frankie's first meeting, with a list of "thank you"s:

--Thank you, Donna Swajeski, for creating the character of Mary Frances "Frankie" Frame, bringing her to Bay City, and pairing her with Cass Winthrop.

--Thank you, Alice Barrett Mitchell and Stephen Schnetzer, for giving us the magic that will forever be Frankie and Cass. All these years later, you still bring us such joy.

--Thank you, Janie, for your foresight in saving so much of Cass and Frankie's story back in the day, and your generosity in sharing it with me and allowing me to share it with everyone via YouTube. Although this particular scene comes from my collection, almost everything I've posted since the end of April has come from you. A billion "thank you"s will never be enough for the incredible gift you've given to all the Cass and Frankie fans, and all the AW fans in general, with everything you've shared and have yet to share.

--And thank you to all of my fellow Cass and Frankie fans for watching, for sharing the love, and for making the whole experience of watching and being a fan of Cass and Frankie even better for me than it would be if I were watching it by myself and had no one to share it with or talk to about it who sees in these two the same things I do, and loves them the way I love them. The angst, the pain, and the interminable wait of the long separation is almost over, and the return of the couple we all fell in love with is finally almost at hand! :-D

  • It's too bad she couldn't have subdued her stalker as easily, eh? Love her!

  • Frankie's first scene at the farm, Frankie's first scene with Cass---that girl sure knows how to make an entrance! lol And how funny that Rachel Cory gets to see Frankie Frame in "take-down" action on that reporter, lol!

Thanks for the fun clip. :-)

  • I knew as soon as they met:). The sparks just JUMPED!!!

  • And a thousand thank you's to you for posting this. I've never before seen this scene, but always wanted to. Honestly, I can't stop grinning at this scene. It's fun to see Frankie at the very start and see how much she changed and yet stayed the same too. I guess the same could be said for Cass and Frankie together. And the clothes! Frankie always did have a, um, unique sense of style.

  • Thank you so much for posting this and all the Another World stuff! Frankie's character jumped out at me from the beginning and now I am getting to enjoy it all over again. Its too bad the writing and chemisty just arent like this anymore.

  • Thank you for everything .. you have take the time to post all these wonderful moments we all miss so much, and to think years ago I had a crush on Jake ..now I'm mature and Cass is looking better and better .. LOL

  • Wow that was great to go back and relive that moment. Frankie was a wonderful character to bring into the mix at the time...someone fun yet loyal. I would have never imagined at the time that she would become the love of Cass's life.
