whoever disliked this either didn't like the different version that wasn't Harry Chapin, or they just don't have emotions. This was a great video, it made people cry, I felt very bad for the many homes out there, and I wish every1 could spend as much time as they want with they're family...

Im 14 1/2 and my dad always said that if i tried hard i could be in the MLB but now im in highschool and want to play football. to him that was 11 years of wasted time and i promise that i will play both sports when i graduate. This song reminded me of him and no matter what i promise that i will polay both sports.

You did a great job. Several years ago, listening to this song while sitting in my car.thinking of my grown son and the things I wish I could have said. I sat there in that parking lot wishing that there might be a way for father amd son to "share" that song. That was about a year before he took his own life. His 2 sons miss him as we all do.I never stopped loving my son. @pegasus 2287, it ain't always about the quantity of time spent, but the quality. Maybe I could hve inproved the quality.
