http://www.reasonablefaith.org - Here Dr. William Lane Craig explains four confusions Richard Dawkins has about the multiverse.

The following video clip comes from Craig's refutation of Dawkins on the Teleological argument for God: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=0F849F78E36323AC

  • I did some reading, in the 15 minutes since I asked the question... Dr. Craigs arguments can be traced to medieval Jewish, Christian and Muslim thinkers, but most directly to Islamic theologians of the Kalām tradition. Its historic proponents include Al-Kindi, Saadia Gaon, Al-Ghazali.

  • @mikestead Uhm, okay. Gee, Dr. Craig has only been telling people that he defends the KALAM cosmological argument and that it came from Al Ghazali among other people. What's your point?

  • Dr. Craig ,Is what kind of Doctor? He is setting limits as per HIS,"MANS" understanding,Which is indeed lacking. The simplistic Atom,is the same simplicity found in a solar system and galaxy, why not multi?Could be,is more likely than not.BUT this CLOWN,KNOWS BETTER. I can really see in history, someone just like him saying,"WE KNOW that the earth is FLAT.It's proven. And some fools are saying that it is round.HUMAN-BIG mouth, small brain.

  • @billy1212ist "Dr. Craig ,Is what kind of Doctor?" He has a PhD in theology and a PhD in philosophy, genius. And Dr. Craig has dealt with the multiverse if you would only listen to the video, you'll know that's the case.

  • Fact is: Multiverse theory demolishes the teleological argument, and no amount of speaking by Craig will change that. Recently, Stephen Hawking has moved towards that position, and I'm gonna take his word on it, not Craig's ...

  • @djbanizza So since your God (Stephen Hawking) says so you JUST know so, huh? Typical. Anyway, you haven't even begun to comment on this video. Why ignore evidence?

  • The multiverse theory must be appealing for a man who desires a universe in which his ideas make sense.

  • Richard Dawkins is brilliant explorer of genetics but he knows nothing about the Universe. Sometimes he acts funny when he argues about the topics he does not understand. Regarding the Multiverse: the problem is simple. all this buzz with multiple Universes was "invented" because the academic sciense can not explain our single Universe. So on Dr. Craig! Shoot them all!

  • The multiverse theory is just ridiculous!

  • If there is a multiverse doesn't there have to be universes where God does exist and did create everything? Seems the multiverse argument can't explain anything because if everything that can be is, then everything is possible. It solves nothing.

  • @mikestead

Anyway, I think that's enough citations to make my point. He's been publishing articles in science and philosophy journals and texts for years, all the while being reviewed by his peers on his work and ideas.

'The question still stands : What qualifies him to comment on maths, physics or cosmology. '

You don't need qualifications to speak a truth.
