@TheCelestialBeings About a week, with a couple hours every day for:
- Making up a usable scale for the parts based on some manga pages
- Getting materials (styrofoam from a washing machine packaging, some old cable remainders, basicly trash XD)
- Cutting out the parts (to fit each other like puzzle pieces) & cleaning up the mess (later one was the hard part)
- Putting it together (toothpicks & glue, yay!)
- Adding the paper-mâché
- Spraypainting

Hey i got a question. Before watching this i was thinking about making it out of some thin wood from Home Depot. i plan on making mines a little bigger than yours. Do you think thats a good idea or is styrofoam best option?

Depends on your skill and the level of detail you want to have in the end.
Most of the wooden ones I have seen were rather blocky and rectangular, with only the most basic shape, no display and a stick or box for a grip/trigger. Guess its far harder to work that out with wood.
The weight might end up beeing an issue too, even if you use thin wood.
Also depends a bit on whether you use thick cables or not. (Cause you will end up using ~2-3m, which may shift the center of gravity quite a bit)
