The High Court has granted Mumias Sugar the permission to verify a consignment of 25 containers of sugar, bearing its brand name. The company obtained the order following reports that some unknown people were intending to clear the consignment, allegedly imported into the country by a Ugandan registered company. The sugar consignment has been lying at the Port of Mombasa for the last two years.
