I have a question for you about the cap pass in the 6g position...how can i keep the 7018 from becoming to converse on the botom? is it a fater sweep thru the center or what? please help me with this.

Heyu buddy your getting there, to make the test harder gid rid of the backing strip and try a root pass with the same 7018/7016 3/32 or 1/8 rod in an open root configuration, i am a coded 6g welder and this is a difficult weld to do , its easy with a 6010 or a 6011 rod but with a Low Hy much more difficult now that you have got a feel for the backed weld try a weld without the backing
