  • This scene looks like a painting that has come alive. The sets are so right, and very effective, with hues just like a painting...very dreamy and lots of depth. And the characters come alive. So beautiful. Thank you.

  • we learned this the other day.i have so much respect for them because it was very difficult but they make it look so easy and delicate it is beautiful!

  • So, wait--was that Hilarion doing all that dancing or was it just one of the other guys? I'm trying to keep up with who's who, but I'm not doing a very good job. -_-' I'm confoozled...Whoever he was, though, he's hot! He exudes this air of "Fear my Dancing!" LOL

  • @askmemuch704

Where is Kirk teaching? Is it in NY?

  • wow, thanks so much for sharing such wonderfull video!!!!!!!!!!a jewell!!!!

  • Kirk taught class today, i love when he teaches its so much fun

  • I love the male solo at 5:30, its AMAZING

  • Isn't this the one from the earliest days of commercial VHS videotape with Mischa and Natasha, which was never reissued on DVD, but features such future Giselles as Van Hamel (Myrthe) and Tcherkassy (peasant pas de deux) who had their own days in the sun after the Giselles of the 1977 run - Fracci, Alonso and Kirland, had retired from ABT?

  • bravissimi!

  • I love this variation so much :) learning it for my pas de deux assessment yay. so much harder than it looks haha

  • If you have existing clips of ABT in those days, please post them all. There is a noticeable lack of footage of dancers from the ballet boom years. Kirk Peterson, Christine O'Neil, Marianna Tcherkassky, and others are very important dancers in the history of American dance. Each deserves an entire library of their works. Thank you so much for this posting. Please add the names of the Peasant dancers (Kirk and Marianna) to the credits so searches for them will find this clip.
