The real story of Negara Ku (so far)
This info I read in Wikipedia and references:
This is some highlights:
YM Datuk Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, MCOBA, wrote:
Negaraku sebenarnya bukan diciplak. Namun terdapat kontroversi tentang asal-usulnya. Lagu yang dimainkan di gazebo di Seychelles bernama "La Rosalie", kemudian menjadi 'Terang Bulan' atawa lagu Setambul yang dipertikaikan samada keroncong Jawa atawa lagu Melayu Malaya, kemudian lagi menjadi lagu kebesaran Perak 'Allah Selamatkan Sultan', dan kemudian lagu kebangsaan Malaya/Malaysia 'Negaraku'.
"Negaraku" or "Negara Ku" is the national anthem of Malaysia. "Negaraku" was selected as a national anthem at the time of the Federation of Malaya's independence from Britain in 1957. The title means My Country.
The lyrics go as follows:
Negaraku, tanah tumpahnya darahku,
Rakyat hidup, bersatu dan maju,
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta
Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan,
Raja kita, selamat bertakhta
This translates into English roughly as:
Oh, my country, the land where my life began
Its people live in progress and harmony
With God-given blessings of happiness
Our King reigns in peace
Important Note:
Al-Fatihah to all Malaysians and foreigners who have helped to develop and make popular this National Anthem of Malaysia "Negara Ku" for all of us living and for the future generations.

@danangsam yeah but your country has some of the biggest gaps between the rich and the poor. i lived in jakarta from 2000-2003. I saw kids come to the car and beg for money and I was 12 at the time. and then i could go to menteng or pondok indah and see indonesians with twelve maids.

We find comfort in those who agree with us. but growth in those who disagree. We can never do a kindness too soon because we never know how soon it will be too late. Test of morality: Does it make you feel good inside? Learn all you can from the elders, they've gone over the road you must travel. Elders compares, combines, and associates - sees relationships where young people see none.

The only fully educated people are self-educated. Never talk about your own virtues or other's fault. Its never smart to ACT better or wiser than those around us. Search others for their virtues, yourself for your faults. Great minds discuss ideas; small average minds: people or happenings.. Test of morality: Does it make you feel good inside?Learn all you can from old people, they've gone over the road you must travel.

@danangsam You do not even know how to determine and measure whether the people in a country are poor or not.You think that if a country is in G20,then it must be a rich country.Idiot! Sinagpore is a rich country, but she is not in G20.You should stop talking to me,because you are an idiot!
