I don't like this guy ... Today he said that he thinks that it's dangerous to have aversion against military defense as this is the current public opinion as well as the thoughts and handling of some of our politicians in Europe. Also this is a 'weakness' according to him. Why is being against the war and being against putting more money in military defense a weakness? I would guess it should be a step forward to worldpeace.

This is so interesting, Obama kept R. Gates do to his effectiveness, but most important look at his BIO, the guy I'ts a walking brain. Remeber there is a lot of info. missing here, people that believed that Obama was going to bring the Warfighters back within 6 months are kind of dumb, or very ignorant on the subject. Six months, that means fly every single aircraftout there, pick them up and fly back. It's going to take a while people......if not keep praying because GOD rule!!!

Bush appointed Gates to almost a 100 percent approval by both Democrats and Republicans during the last two years of his term.
Rumsfied is more synonymous with the controversy of the Iraq War than Gates is.
Bush could have appointed Michael Moore and it still wouldn't have brought the troops back home.
Obama kept him on because of his effectiveness which will be vital in implementing each stage of the Iraq withdrawal.
