Excuse me, Joni Mitchell wrote this song! Judy Collins did a cover of it, but please get your facts straight. Laura Nyro also suffered this indignity when other people performed her songs, too. Joni and Laura: two of the greatest songwriters of all time!

50 years on, and it is still Joni that brings back to me the sound and feel of the sixties, more evocative to me than the Beatles, The Dead or Dylan. Driving a van around Europe back then, I had one cassete, "Blue" which plugged into the cigarette lighter. Despite playing it non stop for about 6 weeks then I can still listen to and love it now.

@billyguns2 AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!! My ultimate pet peeve is ignorant jerks who always know who did the covers but never know or give a damn about the poets who wrote them!!! Like jerks that yell 'Waylon' when Billy Joe Shaver sings HIS OWN SONGS. It's the height & depth of ignorance!!!!! I like Judy Collins a lot too & she has written some good songs BUT SHE DIDN'T WRITE THIS ONE!!!!
