  • ugly shit

  • haha

    GGGG G-unit

    Keep da real dawg

  • You can get up to 3.5 to 3.6 GHz on the Intel stock cooler with a E8400. I'm not American Einstein.

AnonymousHeros explains what I mean very well.

  • The first generation phenom's sucks. The old ass core 2 quads beat them. Sure, the phenom 2 beats the old ass intel quads, but it doesn't beat intels current offering.

For a gaming rig i would rather have a E8400@4.0GHz(eaisly achieved) than some slow ass phenom at 2.5Ghz. Most games out right now make very little use of more than a dual core, so a faster dual core gives better results.

The only thing a a phenom will beat a E8400 at is video encoding. Because its multi-threaded for quads.

  • but as technology advances the quad cores will start to bee needed, an how can you OC an 8400 (with fan cooling) above a 9950? which comes at 2.6ghz per core, and overclocks to 3.0-3.2 WITH THE STOCK COOLER per core, i would love to see a video of you OC'ing an E8400 to that, QUADS ARE BETTER AND THE SAME PRICE or just a few quid more! and to futureproof your computer and make it better at multitasking, its fucking worth it. shut your inexperienced american mouth bitch and accept defeat

  • A E8400 can OC higher than any first generation Phenom making it Intel obviously better when overclocked. If you look at benchmarks between the two CPU's (E8400 and 9600), the E8400 performs better at resolutions 1680x1050 while the 9600 performs better above that number.

But that means nothing if you can just OC really high and most games are made for dual cores which give a huge advantage for the E8400.

  • Well, over here in the UK the phenom I's are pretty cheap because of the Phenom II's being so much better (bar the phenom 9950 being pretty fucking sweet, overclock to 3ghz like a peach) and how the fuck is an E8400 better than a phenom9600?? phenom is 2x as fast, still overclocks to further than that (if you have non-stock cooler - artic freezer etc) it has a larger combined l1+l2 cache, all of the phenoms from the 9550 and above are better than the Intel dual cores, PERIOD.

  • Excuse me, read the date again before you start ranting away mister. When I made this there was only the Phenom I's which were not really overclockable like the Phenom II's.

Btw, a E8400 costs about the same as a X3 720 here in Canada haha. No the E8400 would beat a 9600 anyday, for games even quad core support games.

  • Okay, 1. what drugs did the doctor prescribe you? the Phenom II's beat intels Quad any day of the week, plus they overclock further and do better n benchamarks AND THEY ARE CHEAPER. also, read the news, AMD are having to cool a prototype Quad core with liquid nitrogen, clocked to 6.2Ghz PER CORE MOTHER FUCKLER , dual cores, yeah, E8400 will beat an AMD 5200+, BUT and E8400 costs the same as a fucking phenom 9600 2.3Ghz QUAD which kicks the fucking ass out of the E8400. AMD WIN ON ALL FRONTS
