@DaveNTwana2K9 Yep, 14-9 the Vikings clinched the last NFC Playoff spot and exited quickly against the New York Giants

Dennis Green should have been coach of the year for getting a team with Jim McMahon as their starting QB and Scottie Graham as the starting RB to the playoffs.

The intro music to the featured game is important to fans of the NFL. The reason for is because most games people watch are on television. This is a good one. A very good one. Living on the west coast, it was great getting up and hearing the early game on CBS firing up with that theme. If NFL teams have throwback uniforms, why can't the networks have their own throwback days?

I personally would not mind putting Gus Johnson in Joe Buck's spot on FOX'S NFL coverage.

@DETROIT2MILWAUKEE Yes. The NFL experimented with two bye weeks for each team in the 1993 NFL season. It didn't work.

did he say welcome to week 18?? (O-o)

@DETROIT2MILWAUKEE Actually when CBS came back to the NFL in 1998 they started where they left off, by using this theme. The game your speaking of was the final game for this theme, then went to their current one a week later in Super Bowl XXXV.
-
cbs brought this theme back during the 2002 afc championship game titans vs raiders

How about the Lions being in the playoffs again! That would be sweet!
CBS needs to bring back the NFL Today theme, ASAP. And it's nice to remember what Terry Bradshaw was like before Fox helped him turn into a cartoon character.

FOX needs to fire Joe Buck? How does he get the main push? Dick Stockton and Kenny Albert are so much better. Its so lame.
