Scotland travel: The stones still stand 600+ years after they were built, but all the wooden beams for the roof and all the furnishings were lost in a fire. Still, such spectacular architecture continues to stand, coming from a time when leeches were considered advanced medicine. Makes you wonder which of our current architecture will stand that test of time. Linlithgow palace is about an hour drive from where we stayed at Dalhousie Castle, and about two hours from Culzean Castle. Real People having Real Fun!
