Sixth of eight videos on How to Make a Didgeridoo.
Having hollowed the didge out, this video covers glueing and clamping it back together.
I had myself filmed making a couple of didgeridoos using the split wood technique. By filming the process from beginning to end I aim to share some of the knowledge and experience I have learnt over recent years. In turn this will hopefully help others to make their own instrument.

  • Its a powdered resin wood glue called Polymite, formally known as Cascamite. :-)

  • Thanks for the comment.

The torque setting on the drill I use is set to just below that of a hand tightened clamp so it will be to tight. The hand tightened clamp is by feel but the aim is to produce a decent bead of glue on both sides of the joint but not to squeeze too much out so the bond becomes poor.

  • Amazing videos!

I am trying to make one and I was listing to you and couldn't quite understand what you said.

What type of glue do you use?

  • Great video series!

How do you evaluate the correct torque on the band clamps on the final tightening?
