I grew up in Flint, Michigan, during the 90s and have seen it slowly fade away in recent years. It's a dying city, a place with no hope. This is the cost of government neglect and corporate abuses of power. This is what happens when Americans refuse to buy US-built products, cars and trucks especially. An entire city, even an entire state, dying in front of us because we'd rather buy a cheap Japanese car... There are consequences to our actions. Why don't we see that?

GM made $7.5 billion dollars in 2011. So, your point that 'this is what happens when American's refuse to buy US-built products" is bullshit. The unions caused this debacle. GM simply moved operations to countries and places where costs were less.

@DALE3SR All U.S. factory workers are idiots that couldn't hack it in a real job. They make crap while the Japanese and Chinese make far superior products. Their workfirces are not lazy and work very hard, not like the drunks, stoners, and losers that never went to college that make crap American cars.......

For 4 years I spent my summer vacations in Flint and savour the hot summer days exploring all the paths around Thread Lake and playing flash light tag on the hot summer nights on Cheyenne St. just of the Dort highway. The best time of my life.
