The guy in this video is Lin Yu Chun -- a reality show contestant who covered Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" for a show in Taiwan called "Super Star Avenue" ... and dude CRUSHED IT!!!!!!!
Chun is a favorite to win the million dollar grand prize on the show -- and people are already calling him the next Susan Boyle.

@Eivyll to make my life simple, i'll still call my race chinese, nationality Singaporean, him a chinese, nationality taiwanese. most people around the globe just take it as it is and i dont really see the problem with that. of course you stand by your own definitions....

From a biological standpoint, race has no taxonomic significance; generally when used in a non-academic setting (such as on IDs), it usually refers to ethnic ancestry/lineage...which you already know. Biologically, it is sometimes used to refer to phylogenetics and/or phenotypic clines, but since China covers a large territory that passes through several latitudes, it becomes problematic to refer to chinese as being a 'race' with the exception of referring to heritage or ancestry.

"chinese is not a race" that must be the biggest shock i have in my whole life. i am a singaporean, and we have been told all our lives that singapore is made up of four different races, which majority of us are called... wait for it....... CHINESE. and yeap that's my race, stated clearly on my identification card. obviously our ancestors are from china but we are of a total different nationality known as Singaporean, for generation.
