Summary:
While Sam and Dean are in Mystic Falls to investigate on the vampires, Dean visits the love of his life, Caroline. While they are falling for each other again, Sam begins to doubt that the vampires in town are evil, because they are feeding on animal blood. Dean doesn't listen to him, and while he goes after Stefan & Damon together with Sheriff Forbes, he learns that Caroline is a vampire herself. They have a bad fight, but Dean soon realizes that he loves Caroline, no matter what, and vistis her to apologize. But Caroline knows that a relationship between a hunter and a vampire will never work out...
