@cheemooo you have some pretty odd complaints....front license plate bracket??? Seriously? and the gas pedal being too far from the brake....wtf?? Sounds like you didn't really test drive before you bought it....those are all things in both your posts that a test drive would reveal.......I'd say drive before you buy, I don't know many people who cross shop a 26,000 Forester and a Volvo v50 either....LOL...good luck

@johnzzz1948 well my 2011 Forester has a new timing chain on the DOHC new engine, so really there isn't much difference now...the Rav 4, still has that ugly rear spare and swing open gate.....like an old Chevy Tracker or something...LOL

How come there's no coolant temp gauge at any trim levels ? Subaru trying to cut cost ?

Worst of all the break pedal feels so far left from the gas that it feels like your playing stwister everytime you brake its very tiring. It makes it feel unsafe too because if you have to brake so far left then your body tilts toward the door which puts you closer to the door and closer to the door means more likely to be hurt in a side impact. I just feel like taking a hammer and hammering the brake pedal right. I will be releving myself of it for a volvo v50 soon. Subaru = junk!

Subaru sucks, I have a 2010 forester and it has all kinds of weird little problems that add uop to make it one anoying peice of junk. Heres the list engine has pinged since I bought it brand new, it doesnt have a good front license plate mounting system, it has few settings for the winsheild wipers, the seats are too narrow and the seatbelt rides up to high on my lap it feels like a lifting belt its so high. I am 5,8 and 150lbs so there is no good reason for this.

@meanubeanu rav 4 is quieter on the freeway and doesn,t need timing belt changed at 100,000 miles!
