From Walt Disney's "The Jungle Book"
on my Tenor.
I play a "System '54" regular bell sax in a black nickle "vintage" look.

Thanks for watching me struggle! LOL

  • I can play this song and I've been doing sax for 3 weeks! But the sound is very good, it's so hard at the begining. Good luck!

  • Wow! Playing this song in 3 weeks?!! That's great! Yes it is difficult at the beginning. You wonder if you ever will get the hang of it.

Well, keep up the good work and good luck to you too!

    Cobi

  • I can play this too, good job!

I hear those black laquered sax's dont have the best tune -or something- and you have to work hard to make it sound good.

  • Thanks cutechick64! I am not sure about the black nickle sax's. I have nothing to compare it with. I bought it because I liked the look of it and when my teacher plays it I hope I will ever sound like that in the future! Nothing wrong with the horn lol... it's just me having to learn to play it better. Ha,ha, ha... no really, it has a nice sound, I only have to find it myself!!!!!

    Love, Cobi

  • Very..Good..Great infact..!! Jason...

  • Thanks Jason! I am working hard to make it sound nice. It's a difficult job though LOL!

    Love, Cobi

  • nothing special when youre pracitcing a lot. Starting to play Saxophone is quite easy but to get to a higher level is the hard thing.

would be interesting to hear you after one year of playing!

A little tip: Leave your lefthand fingers on the buttons, dont move them so far away from the instrument.

    Keep on playing!

  • what are the notes to that?

  • Yh well its the stage crews fault - black chairs, black stands and not enough light plus a gap which someone like me is bound to put their foot down...

  • Ya makes sense. I had just heard about the black lacered sax's not being the best choice when it comes to a Yamaha. And thats a good thing you didn't seriously dent or damage your sax

  • keep up the practice and you will get better. As for the sound, it's about creating a sound that your looking for,not just creating a good sound that can be played from that sax.

  • 9 weeks you must be practicing very hard.

the more pratice the better right?

  • It more depends on the make; Yamaha, Espirit etc. They're all basically brass underneath - I know because I've dented mine (not seriously and now fixed and good as new) when i fell off the stage and the lacquer came off.

  • It depends he might not have had the music before or something.

  • um wtf.. i took this song and learned it in one day... and id only been playing the sax for like a few weeks.. good vid tho
