  • My first kiss. My first desire. My first encounter with a girlfreind's dad. We played the song all night long hugged and caressed each other until her dad came downstairs and put a permanent end to that one beautiful summer night (he did not like light skinned brothers). Thanks Tonia for giving me a memory that has lasted nearly 40 years!!

  • thx for this real soulful ballad

  • Ahh man... that song just does it to me..takes me back..even though we ate beans for dinner, they were hot and on a plate. our mother and father made us wash our hands and sit up straight and even though thats all come and pass.. i cant think of a time when we had more class..AL TAYLOR 1968

  • Man let me tell you there is nothing and I mean nothing that stirs the emotions like soul music. I dare today's rhythym and blues singers to tackle this style of music. The irony in this song is downright addictive. Long live soul music and it's practioners.

  • This song takes me back to the days as a youth at the local roller skating rink in Inkster, Michigan called " The Safari." 'They would play this song and the guys would grab a lady and together with afros blowing in the breeze, we would fall in love as we strolled around the rink to this jam. WOW! Those were the days!!!

  • Awesome.
