This is the guided missile cruiser, USS San Jacinto, sailing through the Coleman Bridge on the York River after leaving the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station. This bridge is a rarity because two sections of it swing open horizontally to let vessels pass rather than opening vertically.,

  • i spent three years on those security boats escorting the san jacinto .man i miss it.alot of good times .i

  • @maggiek15 Lol, about one of every five times I used to go over it would be open and it always gets stuck or something in then winter.

  • ha i lived in va my hole life and yorktown for half of it and ive never seen the colman bridge open
