@JohannWendt when you buy in a few rounds, they are $4 a pop, when you buy by the millions of rounds, the price drops dramatically. governments buy by the tens of millions, brass and gun powder is really cheap. people make a profit selling .22LR at 3 cents a pop. a few ounces of brass, a few ounces of lead and an ounce of gun powder, you got a .50BMG, it's not rocket science, they been making ammo for over 100 years.
