I just love Joan! She is my favorite! She is so confident and feminine. I like Betty too. It took me a little while to warm up to her but after the episode where she went out into the yard in her nightgown with a cigarette in her mouth shooting the neighbors birds.... I was hooked :)

It's actually the 1961 model - they had to use it b/c there weren't enough 1960 models available for their use. Also, the 1960 ones didn't work.

Don't be ridiculous, 1960s tv and movies were so fake and unrealistic. They did not reflect how real people spoke or acted at all.

i think you're missing the point of the show entirely. its not just a display of mundane everyday situations, its a stylized view of life in that era. it also covers a lot of issues that are still pertinent today. give it a chance, its really an excellent show.
