http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database If you are doing this for the 1st time, you MAY need a special piece of firmware to get you from Linksys to DD-WRT. I have been using DD-WRT for months so I didn't need it. Here I am flashing my router! I am being very careful. You may be able to get away without doing the "hard resets" but why not take the time. It's only 2-3 minutes.

  • does this work in a tplink router example i have the wr740n and i cant acces to the 192 168 1 2 page cause it says wrong pasword and i try with default root and admin pass and it still dont working please somebody help me

  • Yeah those 30-30-30 resets are very important... Never skip them.

  • My 160n killed my internet connection.

    I have a 6mb cablemodem that doesn't even reach 1/4th of the speed since I changed my old Kozumi router for this one. No QoS or anything like that...

    I hope this update fixes it. It's driving me crazy

    Make sure to follow your wiki instructions to a T!!  Mine worked perfectly yesterday:}

  • So I did it and looking for some help! Being a complete novice, really, I am unable to get the Itouch up and running like before. I was able to get this far and willing to learn more from the pros. Settings or an "how to" would be helpful. Same router flashed with v24 SP2 01/02/10 mini. If this helps, after I select the my router via Itouch, it opens up DHCP, BootP and Static - ALL with no information inserted?

  • @mickeym3773 Mine does not act like they say it should either. Be careful. You don't want to brick it. Get on the DD-WRT forums and ask them. I am not sure about this issue. All the best and good luck. It's good firmware.
