Kurt Warner on Heaven, Hell, & His Teammates

All Pro Quarterback Kurt Warner, who founded the faith based, First Things First Foundation (kurtwarner.org), talks about the fears he has about those closest to him -- both on and off the field-- who haven't taken the same leap of faith he has done. Warner has always been very outspoken about his faith-- even, in his greatest football moments, telling ABC Sports upon winning Super Bowl MVP, "First things first..." and thanking God before a live world wide tv audience. Warner is just one of many theologians, scholars, and religious leaders interviewed for this documentary.

This guy's standing up for what he believes in. It's too easy for athletes to just go along with the flow and get caught up in the excitement of the NFL and all that comes with it. No doubt it takes guts to go out onto the field on Sundays, but to put yourself out there and show your beliefs publicly, when there are people like you who will tear him down, that takes courage.

show the guy some respect he actually takes a stand for what he believes in unlike so many other people. if this is what he believes in then let him be. kurt warner is one of my biggest heroes, not just becuase im from arizona and i love the cardinals, i remember watchn him play the titans in the 99 superbowl hes a great guy, if you dont believe in god or dont like kurt then go watch a different video, your comments arent needed here

@arkee71 dude the preachers are everyone, Christianity is fundamentally evangelistic, and requires preaching of everyone in the Church, not just the pastors. Kurt Warner's statements are only cliche in the sense that they're based on the Christian belief in God, of which most in America have heard, but to devalue what he says just cause you've heard it before shows less a cliche and more the fact that though you claim faith, your heart isn't there.
