Good stuff. Lord Helitron is back at last.

@hellsunicorn - Thank you! Excellent point! RJ

It's not entirely off-topic. One of the themes that is meant to come through in this series, and particularly this episode, is the idea of a pursuit of truth as opposed to clinging to ideology. One of my biggest complaints about rampant denominationalism in Christianity is that it all circles around this notion of "my opinion is better than yours, so you're going to hell", without even consulting what scripture and tradition teach on the subject. It's essentially akin to tribalism in politics.

@hellsunicorn -Thanks, Sorry I am a little "off topic" from the Global Warming theme, but it's this conformist mentality that has been on my mind the past few days. I read another article today about how Obama needs to go "gangster" from a mainstream journalist. It's this kind of "Jones Town Dogma" which has taken root in both major parties that has been concerning me lately.

Ah yes, gun hatred and enforcement of rules through unjust over-correction, God save America's failing school system.

Thanks for posting! Nice work and its good have Helitron back! Best Regards, RJ
There is a contensiveness in religion today and a defensivenss among the religious that leads people away from truth. It allows people to become enamoured by cult figures who lead them away from God and into slavery.

This aura of contention largely has its roots in the pervasive heresies present in Christianity. Essentially, the problem lays in people creating their own beliefs and trying to force the scriptures to conform to them, which has resulted in a plurality of warring factions.
Heresy, contrary to the Vatican, isn't engaging in dissent against the church on an issue that isn't immediately clear or challenging the church's political dominion, but in trying to warp the truth of the bible.

If, as Lord Helitron insists, we are just purposeless bags of flesh here only by strange coincidence....
What a terrible way to think that is. This is it, all there is, nothing more than this???
Depressing.
Greast post BTW. 5 stars.

The truth is spanky, what Helitron is saying is essentially what I've gotten from Atheists, particularly those who are of more of a Marxist mindset.
The truth is, this part of the video series has a little bit of a Jansenist/Augustinian tilt in theology, as will the next part which is almost finished processing. As a result, a lot of this ties into conflicts within Christianity over what we believe. These conflicts, are largely tied into our decaying politics in America.
