A little about Arti Dixson... He is a monster drummer who plays all styles of music, doing so in nearly every corner of the world. He studied with Jack DeJohnette and is most known for playing with countless jazz greats (too many to name), specifically, Ahmad Jamal. Not only is Arti a giant contribution to the drumming community but also a great person and friend.

@boredomisexciting Thanks for the comment! You could consider them backwards if you want. DW makes two sided beaters, which you see here. There is a felt side and a plastic side. I prefer the plastic side because it gives me a little bit more attack, click, and response.

The base drum lift is a very neat and innovative idea. Anyone looking to get the most out of their kick would do well to invest in one of those lifts. What a great idea. Arti Dixson... Amahd Jamal?
