My god. That masterful man dodged the question entirely, mentioned the constitution of the USA, and THEN brought democracy into the whole bit. Anyone who would argue against him would be an affront to democracy and against the constitution.. Which would make his argument impossible to defeat.. unless you have some gift double-speakers in the audience.. Brilliant!

It is not dodging the question to say that intelligent design is a religious doctrine. It is a religious doctrine. It is not dodging the question to say that the Constitution forbids the State (through its schools or by any other means) to establish (which means to favor) a religious doctrine. That therefore the State may not teach intelligent design in its schools. Period.
That's called logical argument, and it meets the question head-on.

Well said. Science and God are definitely not incompatible. And I'm sure, once computer chips are made on self-replicating evolutionary models like Dawkins's, more Christians will start to ask why some believe that God could not use the tools that we make use of.
Sorry about the low volume. If you turn up your speakers you can hear it. Its worth the effort!
