War games in Kazakhstan have put into action more than seven thousand troops, fifteen hundred armored vehicles and hundreds of aircraft from five countries.
Five leaders from post-Soviet states observed the first-ever drill of their countries' joint rapid response force.
The participants, which include Russia, are part of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation.
The bloc consists of seven post soviet countries giving it a crucial regional role.
