The mic I used was a USB mic, so you could plug it into the computer and work quickly with it. It was the M-Audio Producer mic, and mine came with software. Looks like it's on M-Audio's site now with Pro Tools, which is different than what it used to come with. I've upgraded to a different mic now, as you can see in a couple of my newer videos ("6 Foot 7 Foot" and "Here I Am").
