It's really beautiful film. Norton plays that role amazingly. The change between the kerbstomp scene and the end is perfect. Yes, sadly, there are racist Nazi groups in America, and it makes me sick. I love when Derek laughs with the black man for the first time an prison. Some people do really deserve a second chance, and don't get it. Some don't deserve one, and get a lifetime's worth of them. It's sick. Just sharin' opinion...

@clocktersteel thats what it means to be human. humanity is sick, sick of the thought that theres a difference between black and white ( i am not talking about skin colors). we all want to be totally white, but all our sins make us gray. we all have a bad and a good part in our soul. we all love and hate. even those that we call murderers, rapists, monsters ... and not even god knows all the words to put differences between us. we are all as bad as we are good because there has to be a balance.
