Drum sound test

Hey guys this is my new video. Im not trying to make an AWSOME solo it was made only for a sound test with my new PreSonus Firestudio interface. I edited the video with Sony Vegas PRO 8.0.
Here are my kit specs:

PDP CX series drum set:
10x8" tom
12x9" tom
14x12" tom
14x5" snare (used as a side snare)

Sonic 8 play Maple snare drum 14x5.5

Cymbals:
Sabian XS20 14" rock hi hats
Sabian XS20 16" rock crash
Sabian AAX 20" stage ride
Wuhan 8" splash
Wuhan 20" china

Hardware:
Pearl rack (old)
Gibraltar and PDP boom arms
PDP double bass pedal
PDP two leg rotating hi hat stand

Recording:
CAD 7 piece drum mic pack
AKG D112 bass drum mic
SONAR 7 recording software
WAVES plugg ins
Sony Vegas 8.0 PRO video editor

Fantastic miking job. Is this the CAD Stage 7 drum pack? Or the Pro 7? I just picked up the Stage 7 pack... can't wait to try it out on my kit.

@chriscauldermusic it is the standard stage pack! they were pretty cheap but they did the job for being my first mics! now i own an audix pro 7 pack :D

@george5030 Awesome. Yeah the Audix were out of my range, unfortunately. Thanks for the quick reply. Do you put that AKG in the middle of your bass drum? Usually I mike my kick just in front of the reso head since there's no port, but I'm thinking it would be best inside. Is that how you did it?

QUESTION...did you just record the drums with the mics and upload or did you use any sound effects such as EQ or Compression, etc??

i have the same kit :) but i don't have microphones, etc...

@vampirepiggy2 heres the way i run the pack. both condensers as over heads. shure sm57 for snare. tom dynamics as toms ( i have 4 toms) bass mic in the bass head angled to the side.

hey are you using both condenser as your over heads or are you using one for your hi hats? Please let me know! Im gonna buy those mics this friday

im actually thinking about getting the PDP X7 kit, with Sabian B8 cymbals with the exception of a 16" crash, i want that to be a Zildjan A maybe
