3D printing produces really crappy models. until the printers get way better we wont see too widespread use. thats my 2 cents worth.

@GenAhab I predict that it will be untenable/unworkable to effectively protect IP as technology moves forward. I didn't say that the right to do it wouldn't exist or shouldn't exist. I foresee a world more like Youtube where there will be so much stuff out there that it will be a privilege just to have people look at your creation. Smart companies will stay ahead of the curve by making their product so easily available that pirating will be an unattractive option. Innovation!
