Recorded in 1915. I thought this was Billy Murray singing the vocals on this. I've had a few people agree and others who say no. If anyone can identify for certain, please let us know. I have no idea who the lady singing with the male vocalist might be. Ada Jones mabye? I know she and Aileen Stanley did a lot of duets together with Murray, but it's definitely not Stanley. Anyone have an idea??? This was originally recorded by Henry Burr and Albert Campbell on Victor 17752 in January of 1915. Thanks for any help that can be provided on this. Little Wonders did not credit singers of the day with the song they recorded, so it's sometimes hard to say who did what.

  • Delightful record! I have no idea who the vocalist is, but it's not Billy Murray. Billy Murray had exclusive contracts with Victor and Edison in 1915 and was not at liberty to record for other labels. Murray did not cheat on his recording contracts. In addition, I listened very closely to the record and did not recognize the voice as Billy Murray.

  • @EdisonSquirrel Thanks! I'm glad you like it, but now I'm even more confused with this one. It sounds like Murray to me, and I have several other LW that do too. You probably have a lot more knowledge on this than me though. Mabye one day the mystery will be solved. ha ha

  • Great!! I love Billy Murray and Little Wonder Records! Thanks for posting this fun little tune!

  • @foxtrotgin Thanks! Murray is my 2nd favorite artist next to Dalhart. I'm glad you like this one.

  • I just adore Little Wonders! They are so fun. Little quips of history! XO

  • @sideshowtink I do too. It's been a while since I posted any. They're like a sampler record. LOL Check out the condensed version before you buy the full length song. :-) XO
