I have a question if I buy garrys mod + counter strike can i use l4d charachters?
I know there are things called addons but im really confused. it says you need a source so what is a source. Is the source like a gametype of some sort like a style of gameplay such as physics?
I heard you can use all kinds of shit with garrys mod on games.

yes you can. and yes the only way to use the models would be using addons. There are many tutorials on how to do it
