  • This is better than any song of 2011!!

  • @trevor40 Concur Trevor40, today most young ones listen to condescending/disgusting rap chatter that glorifies gang violence, sexual perversion, racism, sexism, and dressing down. Dressing down is letting everyone see their underwear thinking they are impressing other; but facts don't lie; most minorities speak condescending language and have STD's. 30-40% of white youths mimic black and latino animal thug behavior. No wonder why so many are imbeciles.

  • Agree with first comment about that year, I was 16 but, ahh, what a year. Saw Spencer ( the Guitarist ) at a gig and was inspired to learn the guitar ( he was and is a great player ). Now today, just joined a band with his old Bass player, the world does turn, I am delighted, this song is wonderful. love to all . Leigh.

  • AHHH the summer of 1976, got my driver's lisc. new boyfriend, the best summer of my life

  • 5 people are, wait, only 5 people hate good music?

  • @trevor40 I agree! Back then, you can understand the songs and you actually could remember them...I miss songs like this...

  • Thank you for putting this up. Interesting to see. The Searchers has it on their program when they are playing all night without any support act. Not if they are going on shows like Solid Silver 60's. And they do not start of with this song as someone wrote earlier. They sing this song or should I say a part of it when they present Spencer James. And I must admit that The Searchers does it much better than this. Spencer does not sing all the songs in the Searchers, but he does sing faboulous..

  • Such a cool song, the '70's was a time when manliness wasn't defined by your tattoos but by your heart. Long live the '70's.

  • Although this tune reached #4 in 1974, this tune I could imagine being released in The 60's. Sounds '60's.

  • The lead singer kind of looks like the hitman from the movie "No Country for Old Men".

  • @wimboes50 Good question ! The renowned 'session musician' of the early/mid-1970's is conspicuous by his absence in that footage of First Class performing the song "Beach Baby".

  • the osmonds are fab I love 70s music
