And yeah we were never part of bengal.our language sound similar to bengali because assamese is relatievely new language. Racially we are compose of indigenous tribal people(the great mongoloid race) who speak tibeto-burman ,Tai-Ahoms, Brahmin and kalita (kayastha people) who are originally from Kannauj and spoke pali and sanskrit.Any one else are not assamese and not even Northeasterner..so you fucking filthy Bangladeshis can FUCK OFF from our land.

@sabojamin NO U R WRONG.go back a little further more in the history & you will find that we were independent.Treaty of yandaboo brought us under british influence and they put us togrther with bengal for ease of administration.As for your previous post regarding chlidren and medical patient crossing over to BD, they are your own people(illegal filthy BDeshi) .They are the one we call mia here in assam .why wont they go to BD after all that`s where they are originally from.

Bangladeshi people pollute everything..fist they come to our land and spread like animal and now they don't spare even you-tube videos.Don`t claim that Assamese are similar to Bangladeshis coz you are not,a word or two may be similar in our vocabulary but we are racially very different . @workhardt2. yea they did mistake. And Bangladesh can survive without India. India only can take only from Bangladesh not can give to Bangladesh. Some days ago they gives us 100 corer money but. If u check rules…. total money will go back again INDIA easily. And it’s not for use Bangladeshi people. Farakka makes as desert every day. Our some people going to make poor to poor for India. India Gives us drag and damages our generation. And some politician is happy with situation.

May be from today we have to import our goods by Assam sea port. Notable that we are the 2nd largest garment exporter in the world and we will export our product by way of Assam. Guwahati Sea Port. And I am happy to hear India is top richer country in the world and Guwahati is look like NY. Although there some people of bihar hungry one shift on day. Pls chek ur and Maldives per Economy. Bengali and Assamese both belong to the Bengali-Assamese language family. That doesn't mean Bengali and Assamese are the same language, but just strong related. Sylheti is quite unique because it's like a middle dialect between Bengali and Assamese.

let me get 1 thing clear Assamese and Bengali are 2 different languages and Sylheti is another language. Bengali and Assamese are only close because of their writing, even there is differences there. and Sylheti had it's own writing form called "Syloti Nagri" that is totally different you would not recognise it. at the time of Bangladesh independance Sylheti printing machines were destroyed. and originally Sylhet was part of Assam the district included Karimganj(now in India).
