Brego's Journey: Brego Finds His Wings

After nearly two years of rehabilitation and reconditioning, Brego has earned some well deserved time off. He is reunited with his neighbor Wild Inspiration, in a twenty acre pasture at Pegasus Ranch in Petaluma California. As a former race horse, most of Brego's life has been lived in a stall, with his only herd experience during his stay at the Yakima feedlot. As he is welcomed by the herd, Brego finally finds his wings and runs like the wind. Brego is the one with the large star on his forehead.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Brego & his friend look fabulous! He just melted right into that herd, no kicking, biting or fighting, remarkable. And he was sure to get the lead, in the first "herd-gallop", like the true racehorse he used to be :)
One of the most beautiful pictures - a herd of bay horses galloping free on green acres (and a convenient mud area for rolling- LOL)

What a wonderful inspiring video!!!! It was just beautiful to watch these horses run wild and free over the grassy meadow. Their friendly nature and love of companionship sure shows thru.

Thanks, he'll be there for about six months to decompress from all the rehab he's been through. His hind end is already looking much better. We'll bring him back to Baywood in the fall.

What a magnificent horse! And to think this beautiful grandson of Seattle Slew could have gone to slaughter. Thanks for giving Brego a second chance and for sharing him and his friends with us.
Our rescued TB, Cappy has just come home from a 2 month ordeal at UC Davis. His rehab has begun again. Seeing Brego gives us a glimpse of what Cappy can be doing in the future!

Deb, I AM SO GLAD to hear Cappy is doing better.. that is such great news. I've been pulling for him ever since he went to Davis.
