  • The rivet gun is a Central Pneumatic #93458 that I bought from Harbor Freight. I see they are 45 dollars now but often go on sale. I paid 20 each for two of them so I did not have to change tips when I switch between two sizes of rivets. For the Zenith aircraft that I am building I had to have the tips of the gun machined to get the rounded top of the rivet. But you would not have to if the rounded top was not needed. I use between 40-60 lbs of air pressure.

  • May I ask, what brand/model of rivet gun is that?

  • @stolflyer

I see, thanks, you got to love what these rivets can do, what a great invention, i thought i've been around, but i dont even know when these were invented.

  • @Myslot2 Both refer to the same thing but blind riveting is the proper term since Pop rivet is a brand name... kinda like Kleenex / tissue paper or Xerox / copy...

  • Is it possible to rivet two pieces of paper card together?

  • @sche1nz

Whats the difference between blind rivets and pop rivets?

  • Well done!

(Technically, shouldn't that be "blind riveting" instead of pop?)
