The toy had two buttons, one to change between an arpeggio, a series of vocal noises and a "sea shanty", and one to play through each note by note, I hooked both up to trigger points, and gave it it's own internal trigger circuit courtesy of the 7555 timer chip (good for running from 3V). In the video, another LFO from another rehoused toy is added to the alternate button to create more unpredictable sequences.
