Is the length of dowel designed to keep the candle elevated high enough in the water jacket so during a longer burn time the lack of water surrounding the point of connection between the outer lens and the inner shell is not adversely affected by heat and possibly causing a leak?

These are no longer on your website. Did they not sell? I always thought that they would have been a great item. It was a great idea. UL and they did put out a lot of light.
