The Hunger Strike Song

This is a song I wrote inspired by Bobby Sands and the nine other Hunger strikers who died in 1981. It's also dedicated to all those who have fasted for long periods of time for one cause or another including Mahatma Gandhi. I'm about NON Violent Protests just to set things straight here. I've had some nasty comments lately.

@TQMusic you will find on youtube that people with loyalist views spend a lot of time commenting on any video saying anything at all positive about Ireland or the Irish people especially in regards to things like the hunger strikers. whatever casualties of war caused by Republicans is dwarfed in comparison to the amount of Irish people including women and children that have been killed by the british over the last eight hundred plus years. you have done nothing offensive.

@bubridge I've been gettin ALOT of nasty comments. I researched the history of all 10 Hunger Strikers and understood the charges against them. I just feel that dying a slow and miserable death on a Hunger Strike was quite an atonement for whatever suffering was caused to the innocent. The song is also dedicated to others in history who've fasted for a cause. The song is honest and heartfelt. I wasn't tryin to offend anyone. PEACE
