  • What do they put in the water in Manchester and Birmingham? What hotbeds of great UK rock and roll!

  • @tennis11ish Don't forget Liverpool! What talent they had coming out of there!

  • Is there a Hollies fan site?

  • Yes. I'll send you the link in a private message if you want it.

  • That would be great, thanks! I used to listen to them growing up, but am now rediscovering just how good they were!

  • It's on its way! I've been listening to these guys since I was nine years old, and I never get tired of their music.

  • @sapphiretaurus - Funny you should mention....I just spent five minutes wiping away tears over Hillsborough. YES! Liverpool is awesome. Billy Fury, Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Cilla Black....not to mention all those who came from Ireland, moved to Liverpool, then moved on to other cities....

  • cute video

  • they had some great music. I have their best of

  • Why do they have the names reversed on Graham and Allan?

  • What I wouldn`t give to have a discussion about music with Allan Clarke....!!

  • Beautifully put-I could not have said it better myself. I grew up in the '80s and I love music from all eras-especially the1960's if truth be told-I think it was truly the greatest era for music. But I also listen to a little bit of modern music too.

  • I heard this song as a child on 'Oldies' stations and I remember I loved the part where he's grabbed and thrown into the street-I thought it was funny but I didn't really grasp why until I was older too lol.

  • Tony Hicks said in an interview that it was because of this song that he had to pack away banjo and take it all over the world with him.
