#1 - Aria Di Mezzo Carattere (Opera Theme) - Final Fantasy 6

For me, the beauty of video game music is its ability to enhance or improve the effect of a particular area, character, or scene. All of the songs on the countdown are excellent examples of this trait. Aria Di Mezzo Carattere however, completely flips this around. This single song is so powerful, so moving, so fricken magnificent, that IT becomes the main focus and the actual opera scene is secondary. When I first started this countdown, I knew right away this track would be #1 and it's the only one that hasn't changed positions over time. This, more than any other VG song ever has stood out in my mind and I am completely certain that it's the best Super Nintendo song of all time.

So, how did I do? Did I leave out anything that absolutely deserves to be here? Or was anything on here that shouldn't have been? I really appreciate all your guy's comments, its been very cool to hear that there's a bunch of other people who enjoy the classic Nintendo music as much as I do :).

. . . Okay, I believe Final Fantasy VII is overrated as well, but is it really necessary to post that on every video that is related to Final Final Fantasy VI? I don't think I've gone to a single Final Fantasy VI video without someone saying "Final Fantasy VII sucks!" or "Final Fantasy VI is nothing compared to VI!" And then, everyone is like "You stupid FFVI fanboy faggot! GTFO! Go kill yourself!" It makes the people defending it look like evil people, and people hate it more. . . Just saying,.

@rinimt it cant be a rip off it they both were composed by the same person. aeris' theme was INSPIRED by this thats all.

@DerrickJMitchell The game you're thinking of is Final Fantasy IV, and in its original US release it was called Final Fantasy II, because the Japanese Final Fantasies II and III weren't released in the US until pretty recently (Incidentally, V wasn't released stateside either).
