I am 90% sure that all this research has nothing to do with LittleBigPlanet at all. Media Molecule said the research was to break their dependence on LBP2 so people assume that means they are working on LBP3 but they meant the series in general not that specific title. I am also quite sure this R&D is for the PS4 as I think Sony asked MM and Guerrilla Games (Killzone) an possibly a few others like Sucker Punch to move on to PS4 for a strong launch lineup.

I got the impression that all their scanning research was for new development tools, and not anything to do with gameplay or commercial hardware. I rather doubt Sony would farm out the development of a new PS Eye to a game developer even if they are in-house.

But unfortunately the true power of the PlayStation 3 is not often shown because games are made for the Xbox FIRST (because of its popularity) then converted to PlayStation 3. The games are limited to the 360's power. Games like LBP2 and the Uncharted series are the exceptions, since they are the console-exclusive titles. Therefore they aren't limited by the Xbox.

But I'm more of a fan of PlayStation 3.

You forgot to add that the ps3 has free online, player blu-ray discs, is WAY quiter than Xbox, laser Burns are ALOT less common than with Xbox, and the ps3 harnesses more power.

Have not seen the show in a long while. Still great even without Austin while he's at college. In terms of what MM is doing, it can be anything. I don't think they are working on a game right now. For the next year or so they will no doubt be exploring ideas. Maybe they have a few projects in mind and they are working to find the one they can turn into a game and save the rest for future ideas. I don't think Sony is even thinking about PS4 anytime soon. PS3 still has so much life in it.

big fan of PlayStation because:

• PS is a better gameplay console

• smaller consoles so they can take up less room

• easier menu design then the X-Box

• more durable discs

• has a smaller portable version PSP

• easier to hold controller (I mean really wtf is with the X-Box controllers)

• and all around fun games
